This Privacy Policy explains how SignWow Ltd (“SignWow”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”) and the Data Protection Act 2018. By accessing or using our website, apps, or services (the “Platform”), you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. Definitions
“Personal Data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
“Processing” means any operation performed on Personal Data, including collection, storage, use, disclosure, or deletion.
“Applicable Data Protection Laws” means the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and any other applicable regulations.
3. Information We Collect
- Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, and other identifiers provided when you register or use our services.
- Usage Data: Details of your use of the Platform, such as features accessed, call logs, durations, timestamps.
- Device & Technical Data: IP address, operating system, browser type, device identifiers, and location.

13. Your Right to Delete Your Data
This section applies to all users of SignWow, worldwide, regardless of how you signed up (email, phone number, Facebook Login, Google, Apple, or any other method) and regardless of your country of residence. Your deletion rights are not limited to users in any specific jurisdiction (such as the EU/UK under GDPR or California under CCPA), every user can request deletion at any time.
What we delete on request
Upon a verified request, we will permanently delete:
- Your account and profile information (name, email, phone number, avatar, display name)
- Call history, contacts, and messaging metadata associated with your account
- Authentication tokens and any data we received from third-party login providers (including data obtained via Facebook Login, such as your Facebook user ID, name, and email)
- Device identifiers, push notification tokens, and analytics records linked to your account
We may retain a limited subset of data where retention is required by law (e.g. fraud prevention, tax, or telecommunications record-keeping obligations); this is deleted once the legal retention period expires.
How to request deletion
You can request deletion using any of the following methods — all are available to every user globally:
- In-app: Open SignWow, go to Settings, click Delete Account, then click the Delete button in the confirmation modal.
- By email: Send a request to ask@signwow.co.uk from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “Data Deletion Request.” If you signed up via Facebook Login or another provider and don’t remember the email on file, include your display name and approximate sign-up date so we can verify your identity.
- Facebook Login users: You can also revoke SignWow at facebook.com → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites. See full instructions at https://www.signwow.co.uk/data-deletion.
Timeline
We confirm receipt within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days, except where a longer period is permitted by law. We notify you by email once deletion is complete.

14. Children’s Data
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us so we can remove it promptly.
15. Automated Decision-Making
We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
16. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including text, video, design, logos, and software, is owned or licensed by SignWow Ltd and protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification is prohibited.
17. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct
- Do not use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
- Do not interfere with the operation or security of the Platform
- Do not access data you are not authorized to access
- Do not misuse the Platform for unauthorized interpreting or commercial purposes
18. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. SignWow Ltd disclaims all warranties, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data or profits, or service interruptions, except as required by applicable law.
19. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This Policy is governed by the laws of Scotland, England, and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
20. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if applicable) or by posting a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of the Platform after updates signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.
